Revoltech Kenshin Pre-Orders Up, Looks Like Derpy Samurai Jack

In commemoration of Rurouni Kenshin’s 15 year anniversary, Kaiyodo will be including the timeless character, Himura Kenshin, into their now laughable source of embarrassment, the Revoltech line. While we cannot fathom how their Kenshin has passed the supposedly strict standards of their creator, Katsuhisa Yamaguchi, the Revoltech version absolutely looks like a faithful representation not of the Hiten-Mitsurugi master, but of Cartoon Network’s Samurai Jack. Fortunately for Kaiyodo, Nobuhiro Watsuki is reportedly pleased with Kenshin’s toy look as quoted:

Kenshin’s posable figure… I once let go of that dream but this time, I asked them for it just for luck and it actually happened. And it’s done by Katsuhisa Yamaguchi! Revoltech Kenshin moves very well, take him in your hands and pose him in Hiten-mitsurugi style!

Unfortunately for us, we have no means of verifying if Mr. Watsuki’s eyes have now failed him or he mistook his masterpiece for the aforementioned Cartoon Network failure. Both Revoltech Himura Kenshin and Himura Battousai will be released in October for 2800 yen.

  3. lol This has got to be the worst Revoltech representation I’ve ever seen. Seeing what Kaiyodo can do with their tokusatsu line, with Jack Sparrow looking really close to the real person (albeit the panda eyes), I’m expecting something of equal quality…. but this….. I thought it was bootleg at first.
