Team Onii-chan! at The Best of Anime 2011 Day 1

Day 1 of The Best of Anime 2011 has just closed its chapter and along with it, Team Onii-chan’s display event for the said event. While the crowd was not at par with that of Otaku Expo 2011’s or the display area as well-protected, the convention was still enjoyable and full of energy as the team continues to build its reputation for being the most active and fan-friendly anime toy collecting community in the country today. As always, here’s some shots that I’ve taken from both the event and our totally awesome display.

Apart from being the photography guru of the group, Adam’s also making a name for himself as the perennial early bird of Team Onii-chan!

The vast emptiness of the function rooms before the start of the event. SMX Convention Center really is the best place to hold a convention, save for the long distance from my house to the venue.

Once most of the crew arrived at the display area, it was full-throttle, non-stop work in setting up the display to make it look perfect. Kudos to the team for the highly efficient and cohesive set-up earlier. All the things needed to be done were finished in record time.

Pics from here on are individual pictures of the figures present at our display. As much as possible we included the ones which have not yet been displayed in any other figure event in the country.

Murakami Night brought his figma White Rock Shooter to the show. It was definitely one of the highlight pieces at the display. A sure showstopper!

Given the immense popularity of Steins;Gate, it was only fitting that Christina made a comeback :)

Apart from the incredible display I was humbly able to take part of, another thing which got me fired up and jumping up and down for The Best of Anime 2011 like a rabid dogs was this…

My Nendoroid Madoka finally arrived thanks to the help of my beloved waifu! :) I’ve run out of adjectives to describe her but she’s absolutely adorable and for my first Nendoroid, I could’ve have gotten a better piece to start with. That wide face just makes me wilt like a Jell’o-legged plant. Here’s more pics of her…

Day 1 passed like a blur, but day 2 figures to be an even better day, as most of these conventions usually are. Of course, Team Onii-chan!, on its part, will continue to deliver the best figure viewing experience possible and attract more members to join in the process.

Congrats on the spectacular first day, Team Onii-chan! ^^
