GSC Millhiore F. Biscotti is Supremely Gorgeous, Behold the Future of Figure Sculpting

Some time ago, we featured Griffon’s Millhiore F. Biscotti here and to be blunt about it, it didn’t impress me. Sure the frills were above average but everything else spelled mediocre and while the “DOG DAYS” anime was just as mediocre (despite being a “spiritual successor” to the Nanoha series), the Princess of Biscotti clearly deserved better. Thankfully Good Smile Company is doing things right with their Millhiore and dare I say, this might be one of the blockbuster figures of 2012 already, judging from the preview images. The figure won’t win any sales contest of any kind but beneath all of that is a representation of GSC’s future. Just to give a brief background, unlike figures of past which used hand sculpting techniques to create the master prototypes, this one’s created entirely out of 3D imaging software, meaning, Millhiore is just about as perfect as she can get (well maybe 99.99% or something). Anyways, I’m not a big fan of “DOG DAYS” in any way, but this one’s f*cking gorgeous (pardon the expletive) and I don’t just throw around praises lightly. Millhiore is right up there with the greatest of GSC’s figures basing on sculpt alone and with the impeccable painting and finish that this one looks to have, I’m sure this one will be an eyecatcher in anybody’s collection. GSC’s Millhiore F. Biscotti will be released in April 2012 for a very reasonable price of 7500 yen. Don’t even think of what if’s, this one’s a keeper!
