When we have anime figure displays, we’re usually given at least a month to prepare for the event. Why a month? Well, consider that not only do we have to invite lenders and record their figures to be displayed in the event, but we also have to layout the name tags for the figures and have further discussions with the organizers with regards to the floor space we have to work with. I think this is why our latest stint at TAGCOM 6 at Robinson’s Place Manila last March 31 to April 1 has got to be one of our most impressive showings yet. It may not have been as grandiose as our previous displays but given the extremely rushed preparation time we had, we’re quite proud of the showcase we had.
We were actually not supposed to display at TAGCOM 6 given that we weren’t informed of it earlier in advance but just last Friday (which was actually day 1 of the event), I was contacted by the organizer of the event and told us that they had one extra glass cabinet we could use for a display. With such a blessed opportunity given to us, we would’ve been wrong to refuse and so with a single day of preparation time, we decided to give it a go.
Since we didn’t have the time, we weren’t able to make name tags for the figures but the display still looks quite nice without them, right?
As usual we had a variety of figures that were on display but for the first time ever, we also had S.I.C. Kamen Riders make an appearance so I guess this display was also quite special in that regard.
With Ozine Fest 2012 coming up in a few weeks time, we couldn’t reveal every new figure we had in store but we did try to include some new piece like Madoka and Sayaka back there.
Ringo looking very sultry here. Definitely a treat for ecchi fans.
We’ve had Nadeko for quite some time in our displays already, but we couldn’t resist not putting her since she’s so cute ^^
Cheerful Rin and Len came fresh out of the box! Such a big debut for them.
Another classic figure is Alter’s Momohime. She never gets too old to look at doesn’t she?
2 Nadekos are better than one obviously so we also included Taito’s version here. She looks as jolly as always. Would you want to be her onii-chan?
And finally we have the ecchi poster girl, Sonico, in her bondage incarnation here. If you ask me, this is the best Sonico out there. She’s quite pricey now though.
So there we have it. TAGCOM 6 almost ended as quickly as we were able to put together the display but it was still a blast for us. We’d like to thank Hobbiworx for giving us the chance to promote our hobby once again. I think that what we learned from this experience is that our team can achieve anything we set our mind to. Nothing seems so impossible if everyone is working together for a common goal. With this, I’d like to extend my utmost thanks to my fellow Team Onii-chan members who’ve been very supportive of our presence at TAGCOM. Now that it has ended, let’s now look forward to a smashing showing at Ozine Fest 2012!
