SCANDAL, the most powerful girl rock band (or so they say), arguably came into public notice with their “Shoujo S” single for Shinigami shounen anime, “Bleach.” Their upcoming single, “Harukaze,” sees them returning to the cow that led them to popular heights as it was recently announced that it will be the new opening theme for the new season of the said anime, which will begin on October 11. After some filler crap endured by longstanding fans of the series, “Bleach” will finally go back to the manga storyline, specifically the Shinigami Daikou Shoshitsu Arc and what better way to herald this than by introducing a new opening theme from what is arguably the most marketable Japanese band today.

Even though shounen is one of the most popular manga genres as proven by the mainstream popularity of most titles under it, its characters have not been received as warmly by figure manufacturers. MegaHouse, on the contrary, looks to reverse this trend with its introduction of the G.E.M. series, which in the past has featured popular males such as Lelouch and the Gintama boys.
