Hobby Japan October 2011 Scans

The October 2011 issue of hobby-institution and soothsayer of otaku poverty, Hobby Japan, reveals upcoming figures to watch out for in the coming months and as always a certain Madoka never fails to make what is now a necessary appearance, along with her Newtonian demon kitty, QB.

As seen in the image above, Banpresto will be featuring the Madoka series in their devilishly cruel Ichiban Kuji lottery, leaving otaku from outside of Nipponland to source them from notable profit mongering proxies.

In a surprise move, Hobby Japan will be releasing a Lily figure from venerable 3D fighting game “Tekken.” I know some people who are quite excited about this release and rightfully so as she not only gives us a glimpse of her skill, but also her pantsu.

Speaking of pantsu, there’s no greater authority on them than the aerodynamically-balanced lolis of “Strike Witches” whose flight capability stems from the fact that they embarrassingly wiggle around their butts in the air to steer them through. Apart from the earlier covered Volks Sakamoto Mio, there’s a bit more Witches flying straight to your pantsu collection.

Apparently, Japan’s not yet sick of living out their 3D fetishes in gloriously painless 2D as hordes of Love Plus figures continue to be produced in lactic fluid-like quantities. Also, is it just me or are their boob sizes growing exponentially larger with each new figure?

Nothing much in terms of new figmas and Nendoroids in this issue although BRSB is looking sweet and deadly with those blade-like protrusions from her calves. Her crown still looks ridiculous, but she could pass off as a Monster Hunter character, no problem. Expect her to sell out faster than Bieber concert tickets.

Apart from the QB show, one of the hottest properties of the year is OreImo (coincidence that ClariS sang both opening themes?) and the bratty tsundere, Kirino, is out in full force in this issue with 2 scale figures fighting over the onii-chan viewing this post (translation: you). Both look quite good, but unless you’re swimming in cash, you’d be better off getting only one.

Much like Max Factory’s figmas and GSC’s Nendoroids, Wave has impressively carved out a niche for themselves with their oh-so-tiny but so-tasty Beach Queens line. Though I’m not a big fan of the beach babes concept as they’re usually a cheapo way to produce figures en masse’ while looking like a million bucks, those beach versions of Steins;Gate ladies Christina and Mayushii did get my attention more so for being instantly recognizable characters rather than actually wanting to spend on glorified trading figures.

Oh well, Alter continues its days of uninspired characters… le sigh~ talk about a slump. On the other hand, AmiAmi’s Jubei is surely making hands go deep somewhere…

Oh and how can we forget Miku!?
